The time has arrived and we’ve delivered our beloved Bonanza to Waypoint Aviation in Riverside, CA (KRAL) for the panel upgrades.
Along with a Garmin 530W WAAS GPS, we’ve added several other upgrades. Here’s one:
- New Audio Panel – PS Engineering PMA8000BT – This is very exciting for me because we didn’t have an intercom. We are currently using a Flightcomm which sits on the floor behind the pilot. The cost was just over $100 and in this case, you get what you pay for. Don’t get me wrong, it was an intercom where we had none. So, I’m appreciative of that. Flying the plane home for 10 hours with no intercom and my CFI sitting next to me was a bunch of missed training time. This new panel integrated audio panel, the intercom should be crystal clear and make it more of a pleasure to fly socially. It even has a 10 second playback button.
The first tear down pictures are in. I am surprised on how I reacted seeing my baby torn apart. But I know there’s good things to come.
